Audrey Tappan is a creative freelance fashion and branding photographer based in NYC who isn’t one to shy away from bringing color and movement to the table to elevate her client’s brand to the next level.
Thinking out of the box is her signature style and she loves to work with those who want to stand out from the crowd. Her years of experience in photography with entities like FX Networks, HBO, TAZO Tea, Restylane, and Tula means she always has something new and unique to add to a project. Whatever a client’s idea may be, Audrey can bring that idea to life together. ✨

Introduction 👋
My name is Audrey Tappan and I am a creative photographer, which I've been doing for 3 years professionally. I have been creative since a very young age, I was lucky to grow up in a household that fostered that. And once I was in college, I knew that photography was where I was going to pinpoint my focus. So really, it just kind of came naturally to me and moving to New York seven months ago has really lit a fire. And you know, that spark, I needed to elevate my career.
Change of Outlook 🍀
An area that I had to pivot and change my outlook on was creating art digitally. So for a long time, I was focused on just fashion photography, and I hadn't brought in my illustrative designs at that point. So for me, I was trying to fit into a box that someone else had created instead of having my own box, or just breaking out of the one that they had provided. So for me, it was allowing myself to create art that I wanted to make, and to attract the clients that I wanted to work with. And now I'm creating art that is fun and vibrant and even at times, it's only digital art, it doesn't necessarily always involve photography.
New Experiences ٩(◕‿◕)۶
I recently worked with a denim company, and I shot all of their looks for the coming year. And that was the first time a company had hired me to shoot their line where in the past, maybe I reached out to them, it was not a paid job, they let me use their clothes for a photo shoot that I wanted to do.
So being able to work on set with a team of people, you know, Creative Director of videographers, and things like that showed me that I did have the capability to work for a company or a brand that could you know, my work was going to elevate their brand and it was great to be trusted with that. And the creative director even told me, you're going to give me the images the way you're going to give them to me and I'm not going to ask for a single revision. They really trusted me as an artist to provide them with quality content that fit within their brand.
What I love about InCreative Company the most is the fact that they're not necessarily an agency, but they're not exactly a collective either. They're there to support you along the way, whether they brought the project to you or you're bringing the project in yourself. I love that Yelle and Drea are there for me if I have any questions about a project I'm working on privately, as well as a collaborative project that they have put off the table for me.
