About Me
Hey, Fur Friends! Kaila here—the crazy dog-lady behind Dox Design. I’m a proud fur-mama to three dachshunds, lover of all 70’s music, and the OG Swiftie (I’ve seen her on every tour, even as just an opener!) After taking my first few years out of college in the traditional agency route, I felt restless… like my cup wasn’t being filled to the top. I had a vision, and I knew the kind of clientele I wanted to serve. I wanted to take my two favorite things—dogs and design—and create something that nobody had done before. Something big, bold, and most importantly, drool-worthy. And so, Dox Design was born! Today, I’m proud to lead my fearless team on a mission to create strong, compelling brands that flaunt our clients’ stand-out qualities in fun and daring ways. Together, we work together seamlessly to create #droolworthy brands and design for people just like you: the doers, the dreamers and the dog-obsessed.
Any Personal Projects?
Always. Home décor and interior design is a side passion of mine and am in the process of launch my own textiles and home goods line.
Creatives I Want to Work With
Other creatives who are passionate but also know how to have some fun! I believe in balancing our professionalism and expertise with room to explore, get curious, and play—and doing it in collaboration with other creatives who feel the same way!
My Dream Client
Packaging design makes my heart SING!
So any type of client in the food and beverage, beauty, or product space always is a dream client.
Biggest goal? Design some packaging for Target one day.

What "Creative" Means to Me
Being creative means leaving room for flexibility and individuality in the process of being creative. Just like every person has their own unique personality, every design does, too! Being a creative means being brave to try new things and to be the medium that brings visual feelings to life.
My Favorite Organizations
Showing Up for Racial Justice
I am a part of SURJ Washtenaw and it is organized by a small group of people striving to undermine privilege and white supremacy in ourselves and in our community.
How do you take care of yourself to stay in the creative flow?
DOGS. DOGS. DOGS.
My three Dachshund are the reason I started freelancing and are the best furry coworkers to keep me motivated and in the creative flow.
Whether it is stepping away for a snug session or walking them around the block they are a great reminder to not take myself too seriously, to ground me, and bring me back to the reason why I started freelancing in the first place.
Who are your current / previous clients?
Where are you from? Where do you want to go?
EVERYWHERE.
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I am constantly inspired by going to new places.
My favorite though is the National Parks! I want to visit all 63 parks in my lifetime.
